MY VERDICT: The “Fifty Shades of Grey” star wore one of my favorite looks of the night when she stepped out onto the red carpet for the annual MET ball as the guest of designer Jason Wu. The 24-year-old actress stunned in a custom midnight blue number, which featured a shimmering sequin camisole tucked into a glamorous ball gown skirt. I loved the modern edge she brought to her glamorous look, but Dakota made sure to give it a classic touch with black Carolina Amato evening gloves.
While I wish a little bit more had been done to her hair than the typical starlet go-to of loose waves, I thought Dakota looked great.
Complementing makeup and a black Lee Savage minaudière provided her finishing touches.
